The planet Hillys is under assault by the alien DomZ, and has been for so long that buildings and cities are equipped with protective energy shields to protect the occupants from DomZ meteor attacks. The government?s Alpha Section, an elite military cadre, claims to be making strides to contain the DomZ, yet the attacks continue unabated. Citizens continue to disappear from Hillys, apparently related to the DomZ attacks.

The Pinnacle Of Its Genre
Metroid Prime is certainly not your average First-Person Shooter! It is however, an original idea of introducing Interactivity, Exploration and slowly unravelling the Mystery of what events occurred on Tallon IV. Samus Aran is an Interstellar Bounty Hunter, who explores dangerous and unforgiving worlds, armed with her Advanced Chozo Suit. Youll lose track of time as you fall ever-deeper into this encapsulating experience, amongst wonderous landscapes, breathtaking scenery, and peculiar creatures living amongst a planet in near extinction.

First off, youll have to get used to one of the most intuitive control systems ever created. You have the capability to change viewing modes to Scanner, X-Ray, Thermal, etc, controlled with the D-Pad. As well as change your Armed gun functions being Plasma, Ice, etc with the C-Stick. Youll have to scan your enemies to find their weak spots, then use your initiative to get to them. Samus can even morph into a ball to gain access to secret areas, etc.
It is an experience that will be hard to forget! The World of Tallon IV is magically created with amazing graphics, and the Atmospheric Soundtrack only emphasises this magic.
Youll explore new parts of this troubled planet, uncover new areas and Creatures, and encounter the Space-Pirates who you must protect this planet from.

The Attention to detail, that has been applied to this game, is phenominal. The glimpse of Samus Arans face as she takes a lift down to the volcanic region of Tallon IV, or the reflective Flash of her face on the visor as a Space-Pirates missile explodes a little too close for comfort.

It is truly a joy to play, and now that its part of the Nintendo Players Choice, you have no excuse not to purchase this Marvel.

It is truly The Pinnacle Of Single Player Gaming

Metorid Prime - Amazing
Metroid Prime... a perfect game? Well, not perfect, but amazingly close to it.
This game is fantastic. I mean it - fantastic. The amount of atmosphere, action, exploration, fighting, etc applied to this game is brilliant. That eery feeling that youre alone is always present, always there.
The plot is really exciting - again, adding to that atmosphere. And the bosses... well, youll see for yourself. (P.S., youll love to fight them!)
The graphics are amazingly realistic in many places; its just too bad that the scenery doesnt seem more alive. I mean, leaves dont sway, and other tiny things like that. But, it still seems frighteningly REAL. From the drifts of Phendrana to the mystery of the Chozo Ruins, you get that feeling Retro Studios have spent a LOT of time and effort to make the world seem very, very real.
Scanning is a major part of the game. Im not saying that everyone will approve of the constant scanning that needs to be done, but I personally think its a great addition and adds replay value to the game.
Once you complete the game fully (which will not be easy!) you get options to transfer data to the GBA game, Fusion. You even unlock a HARD game mode!! How long would it take to do that?! These extras add to an already long game, so youre not going to fully complete this in a hurry.

The game is brilliant, brilliant fun. Thats what you need in a game - FUN. And this will give you a massive supply, whether youre a novice or an expert.

Definately buy it if youve got a Gamecube. And if you havent got a Cube, get one just for this. Youll love it.

one of the Cubes best games made cheaper!
Metroid Prime is one of the key gamecube titles that you must own under pain of death, and now there is now excuse not to give it a try as it goes into the players choice range.

The game sees you as bounty hunter Samus Aran, after tracking a strange alien she lands on Tallon IV to investigate. What you get is about 10 to 15 hours of blasting aliens using one of 4 different weapons, ranging from ice beam to plasma beam, and generally killing anything you see moving.

The bosses are also very challenging towards the end and some of the puzzles do make you think, unlike some games.

All in all this is a great game with only a few problems being that it can be a little unfair, some backtracking gets tedious and it can be a little dull on the space sation (but thats only 5% of the game, the rst is on the planet). And on players choice you can surley look over these small problems, i would give it 96%
